Harleston Sancroft Academy choir hits right note at open day

A group of note-perfect pupils took centre stage when they showed off their singing talents as part of an Easter open day.

A choir or 40 pupils from Harleston Sancroft Academy sang a selection of popular hymns and feel-good melodies for homeowners and their guests at Waveney Place, a retirement complex in Mendham Lane.

Music teacher Sarah Ablett said she was proud of the pupils, especially their approach to the concert.

She added: “The children were incredibly excited to sing for the second time at Waveney Place and worked really hard to deliver yet another brilliant performance.

“The audience gave a fantastic reception, which is testament to the children’s talent.”

After the singing was over, guests were treated to a selection of chocolates and confectionary, while the schoolchildren were gifted Easter eggs as a special thank you for their returning performance.
