READER LETTER: ‘Cittaslow sad loss for Diss’
Published: 07:28, 14 January 2015
It really is a shame that we no longer belong to Cittaslow. It is a way of keeping different countries together.
Begun in Italy to stop a MacDonald’s being built at the bottom of The Spanish Steps, it proves that old buildings are equally important as new ones. It also should slow us down from fast food consumption.
After Diss joined, I decided never to shop in a supermarket as there are so many local food shops, and I have saved money and lost weight. It may take longer but it is far more satisfying. Good for Italy, such a glorious country, beautiful language, food, lakes, buildings, music. Bellisima.
