Power tools including Chainsaw stolen from properties in Mellis Road, near Diss




Power tools including a chainsaw have been stolen from a pair of properties near Diss.

Suffolk Police is appealing for witnesses after two separate burglaries in Mellis Road.

The first incident took place between 7pm on July 4 and 6am the following day.

Burglars gained access to an outbuilding by smashing a back window before stealing a hedge cutter, chainsaw and two sanders.

For the second incident, between midnight on July 7 and 9am on July 9, a garden shed was broken into.

Thieves made off with a long handle petrol engine hedge cutter.

Officers are investigating both incidents and are keen to anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area at the time or who may know the whereabouts of either item.
