Harleston town trail featuring feathered friends is extended
The end date of a town trail has been extended due to its popularity.
The Visit Harleston Bird Trail, which started on January 7, features birds hidden in windows and inside 15 business and organisations around the town.
Ann-marie Doggett, events officer for Harleston Town Council, said: “We have had a great response so far, so that is why we have made the decision to extend it to February 23.
“We hope this will encourage more families to take part and visit, including over the February half-term holiday.
“We would like to say a big thank you to those who are supporting us and making the trail a success.
“The support means that we can continue with these kind of events through Visit Harleston and it is a fantastic chance for people to discover and support Harleston businesses.”
Entry forms for the trail, which will see a winner collect a family hamper, can be picked up and handed back to the town library, Harleston Leisure Centre and Harleston Information Plus. A winner will be announced on February 28.
