Beatle's renovated Wings tour bus provides unlikely stage for young pop star to shine
A rising star of country-pop music has been among the first artists to board the former tour bus of a Beatle to perform a gig.
Breeze Redwine took to the bus, which was used for touring by Paul McCartney’s band Wings, and performed a gig at the NEC Classic Motor Show in Birmingham, held between November 11 and 13.
The show capped off a UK tour for the Harleston-born singer, with the 50-year-old renovated bus providing a unique platform for the performance alongside The Paul McCartney Story Tribute Band.
“I am truly honoured to be singing on the bus that Sir Paul McCartney used as his official tour bus with Wings,” said Breeze.
“It’s a surreal experience and a totally amazing feeling to be on the same touring platform used by Wings and this fabulous tribute band.
“We are looking back at some legendary musicians who famously shaped British music.
“It’s the first time the bus has been out since its complete renovation, so it makes it all the more special. The bus is restored, revamped and ready to rock.
“For aspiring artists, there’s no better grounding than to learn from the past. I hope that this look back in music history will help me focus on being the best performance artist I can be moving into next year – and my next tour.”
Nineteen-year-old Breeze, who works with her management company Stonham Sounds, from Stonham Barns Park, recently released a new single called Pretty Tough Girl and has been working with Harley Moon Kemp, daughter of Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp, while creating her new music.
