Plan to turn Fayre View Restaurant into house given green light by South Norfolk Council

A change-of-use application to turn the Fayre View Restaurant in Diss into a four-bedroom house has been approved by South Norfolk Council.

It had been run by chef-proprietor Chris Gissing since 2003.

According to planning documents, the Denmark Street-based premises had been up for sale but there had been ‘little interest’.

Diss Town Council had recommended approval to the plans earlier this year.
