Burston and Shimpling Parish Council commissioned almost ?25,000 worth of new play equipment for their village green. ANL-150928-153939001

An official opening ceremony was held to welcome nearly £25,000 worth of new play equipment in Burston on Saturday.

The money, from Burston and Shimpling Parish Council, as well as grants and contributions from a range of sources, also helped refurbish the current facilities at the playing field.

At the event there was a BMX exhibition, a ‘Beat the Goalie’ competition, a family entertainer, a balloon release competition, and free teas and cake.
