A Year 3 pupil at Palgrave Primary School has won an iPad Mini for his school after winning a contest that will see his design appear on store shelves across the country.

Lewis Diggins won a drawing competition organised by farming partnership R G Abrey Farms at last year’s Suffolk School Farm and Country Fair, which asked participants to help design the packaging on fresh produce sold at retail outlets nationwide.

Julia Waters, assistant headteacher, said: “Pupils will appreciate the importance of farming in providing food for all of us. The seed may be sown for the possibility of a career in farming for some of them.”
