A paintball sniper is being hunted in Diss
The person fired paintballs at motorists on Victoria Road on Saturday night.
At least four cars were hit as they drove close to the Tesco roundabout.
Handling a paint gun in public is an offence under section 19 of the Firemarms Act, depending on the type of device used.
"There was no permanent damage to cars but this could have caused an accident and posed a risk to people," said police inspector for Diss, Harleston and Long Stratton, Jason Selvarajah.
Anyone with any information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
