Norfolk sees large rise in daily reported positive cases as UK figure sees slight drop

Figures from Public Health England yesterday showed Norfolk has had a rise of 60 positive cases in the last 24-hour reported period, taking its total up to 1,268, with Suffolk having another 27 cases, now totalling 877.
The number of COVID-19 associated deaths in hospitals recorded in the previous 24-hour period has seen a rise to 813, compared to 684 and 616 from the previous two reported 24-hour periods.
That takes the total number of deaths so far to 20,319.
The amount of reported positive cases in the UK as a whole for the 24-hour period though has seen a drop from 5,386 to 4,913..
That takes the total number of laboratory confirmed coronavirus cases in the UK so far to 148,377.
