Aldi opened its new store in Park Road in Diss today.
The new store will replace the existing Aldi on Mere Street and will be run by manager Keith Blyth, along with a team of 45 staff.
The ribbon cutting was performed at 8am by Paralympic gold medallist, Louis Rolfe, to mark the partnership between Aldi and ParalympicsGB.
He also give away complimentary bags of fresh fruit and vegetables from Aldi’s Super 6 range to the first 30 customers.
Mr Blyth said: “It was a special moment and having Paralympic hero, Louis Rolfe, join us really made it a morning to remember.
Cycling star Louis Rolfe said: “ was excited to be opening Aldi’s new store. It was be great to chat to customers and a lovely way for me to thank Aldi for its support of ParalympicsGB.”
The store is also calling on charities and food banks in Diss to register with its Neighbourly scheme, a platform that links businesses to organisations.
