New trampoline fitness class ((Bounce)) launches in Diss
Up to 700 calories is how much you can burn in a new mini trampoline fitness class in Diss.
Global franchise ((Bounce)) offers one-hour long classes, which consist of 45 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of toning.
The sessions are run by instructor Nikki Mitcham at the United Reformed Church in Mere Street every Tuesday and Thursday.
Nicki, 39, said: “The classes have been really popular because it’s such a fun way to exercise.
“People come to me with severe back or knee problems who can now exercise, because the trampoline mat takes out 87 per cent of the impact.”
Held under the motto “fun, friendly and fierce”, the classes are for people aged over eight, and anyone is welcome.
“The great thing about what we do is that it’s for any shape and ability,” said Nikki. “Each class is unique in its own way and you just take it at your own pace.
“A lot of people are sceptical, but, if you want to try another avenue for getting fit, try this.”
Nikki is also looking into setting up child-friendly classes during the day.
