New Diss nail salon awaits planning permission fate
A planning application has been submitted for a new nail bar in St Nicholas Street.
The application for the bar, which would be located at the former Temples estate agents, was submitted in December and is under consideration with South Norfolk Council.
The property has remained vacant since Temples left the town last year and requires permission to change from an A1 retail shop to a nail salon/bar.
Mr Chung Do, who has submitted the application believes Diss would benefit from a new nail bar.
He said: “I want to try and make the people of Diss happier and give them more choice when it comes to their beauty.”
The salon would offer manicures and pedicures, colouring and fake nails.
Under proposed plans, the business would be open from 9am until 6pm Monday to Saturday.
Mr Chung Do also believes that the salon, if given planning permission, would create more jobs for the people of Diss.
