Stonham Barns in Stonham Aspal gears up for Spring with The Big Weekend

Stonham Barns Park will be kicking spring off in style this year with a free music, dance, comedy and activities event.

The three-day offering at the Stonham Aspal venue will showcase the newly revamped Aspal Theatre, Legends Sports Bar and The Barn between March 3 and 5.

It will feature up-and-coming musical artists and comedians from the region, including Jive Generation, Leon O’Leary, Billy Hunt and The Modern Classix, Lauren Jennifer, Murphey’s Lore, The Bo’Weevil Brothers and The Swamp Project.

The Aspal Theatre will be doing Live Lounge-style performances, mixing contemporary pop with blues and country.

Janice Rowles from Stonham Barns Park, said: “Alongside music and comedy, there will be all sorts of activities, such as historic re-enactments, the building of a Viking ship, have-a-go axe throwing and archery.

“It is going to be a very big weekend.”
