Mortar device discovered at Knettishall Heath Nature Reserve

A mortar device was found at a Suffolk nature reserve on Wednesday, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to Knettishall Heath at 12.50pm after a mortar device, the size of a drink bottle, was located.
A cordon was put in place, with Ministry of Defence experts alerted to help inspect it and confirmed it was inactive.
The object was subsequently disposed of by the experts.
