The A11 northbound was reopened shortly before 5pm.

Lane two of two on the southbound carriageway remained shut due to central reservation barrier damage, before reopening at 7.17pm.

The incident had caused traffic queues along the major route.

A Highways spokesperson thanked motorists for their patience.
