Attleborough butchers Tony Perkins puts in plans for shop expansion

A Norfolk butchers is hoping to expand after 20 years of going from “strength to strength”.

Tony Perkins in Attleborough has lodged plans with Breckland Council to take over the former Cutz hairdressers unit next to the existing shop.

The butchers was founded in Church Street in the town in 2004 and has since opened a second branch in Dereham.

The new plans hope to attract more passing trade in Attleborough as well as providing different freshly cooked food produce for customers.

The business intends to replace both shop fronts and join the units together to increase its floorspace and install a prep kitchen.

This would allow for more freshly cooked food items to be served at the shop.

Representatives for Tony Perkins said: “This is an established business within the community and they pride themselves on providing their customer base with the best local produce.

“The proposal to extend into the adjacent premises will benefit not only the local community and existing customer base, but will also attract more business from passing people.”

Breckland Council will determine the application in due course.
