My uncle, Flight Sergeant Haroll Mock died on February 1 1945 along with three other aircrew when their Halifax bomber suffered mechanical failure and crashed returning from a night raid over Germany.

I have been trying for several years to pinpoint an exact location for the Second World War crash site.

The family always believed the site to be ‘Jones Farm’ Diss, although the official RAF crash reports detail Tibenham, one mile east of Banham. I know it is a long shot but I’d very much like to visit the area to pay tribute, so to be able to narrow this information down to a specific location or even better an OS grid reference would be amazing and any information anyone can give would be truly appreciated.
