Lego-esque models are purr-fect zoo addition

A variety of unique, life-sized models of big cats have been installed at Banham Zoo – made entirely of Lego-esque bricks.

The magnificent models have been placed at different locations around the Norfolk attraction – and have been courting more interest than many of the animals themselves.

The intricate creations were set up at the zoo by BrickLive, a company well known to regular visitors to the zoo, having installed a Snowman and Snowdog display at Banham Zoo over Christmas.

Children gathered to take pictures with the new additions to the zoo.

Claudia Roberts, joint managing director at the zoo, said: “It’s been a pleasure to have this spectacular display of big cats here at Banham Zoo throughout the summer.

“In front of each animal, there’s an explanation of how many bricks were used, how many builders it took and how many hours went in to creating each model.”

The display runs until Sunday, September 6.
