Country Music Festivals return Stonham Barns Park - the first is this weekend

A leisure, holiday and retail park is set to sway to the sound of sweet country music with the return of two festivals.

The Stonham Barns Park Country Music Festivals are returning to the venue, tonight until Sunday, and then October 24 to 26.

The Country Music Festivals are part of the Stonham Sounds calendar of events introduced by the owners to showcase more musical talent in mid-Suffolk.

There is a large camping area for caravans, motorhomes or tents with no pitch fees when visitors buy a weekend ticket. There are also static holiday homes to hire.

Alex Muckle, of Stonham Barns Park, said: ‘The demand for country music events is as high as ever in the region.

“We are delighted to be bringing these BarnFest events to the people of Suffolk over the summer and autumn.

“Country music is a favourite with so many people of all different ages and the artists appearing this year all have dedicated followers, so we are
expecting a fabulous festival atmosphere for the two weekends. It’s a little bit of Nashville the heart of Suffolk.”

Organiser Ray Smith added: ‘It’s great to be coming back to Stonham Barns Park, the home of country music in Suffolk.

“Country music is enjoying a revival with the likes of Taylor Swift, Beyonce and even Ed Sheeran crossing over into the genre.

“It makes us more passionate to keep rolling out the music which is still drawing the line dancers of all ages and backgrounds.”
