A super-slimmer is set to represent Rickinghall at a national competition after her peers voted her Miss Slinky 2014 after a torrid year-and-a-half led her to comfort eating.
Charlotte Holder has dropped a two dress sizes since joining the Rickinghall Slimming World group in March 2014.
She said she had “hit a low”in an 18 month period where she lost her aunt and nan to cancer, and also found to have the breast cancer gene, having a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery.
It was during this time she began to comfort eat.
Charlotte, who weighed 13st 1lb and wore a dress size 16 at her heaviest, is now 11st 12lb and a dress size 12.
“The final straw was taking the children to London and looking back on the photos, I was disgusted with how I looked,” she said. “Things are completely different now and I feel much more confident than I used to.
“I never thought anyone would ever describe me as slinky so it’s just incredible to be Miss Slinky 2014.”
Slimming World’s annual Miss Slinky competition recognises female members who have changed both inside and out by becoming healthier, slimmer and more confident.
The national Miss Slinky 2014 will be announced in January.
