Have a sporty summer is the message to youngsters in Breckland.
During the long school holidays the district council is running sessions of sports and traditional playground games at centres throughout Breckland, including Attleborough on Thursdays, for 5-11-year-olds.
Breckland council executive member Lynda Turner said: “Our rural sports programme aims to help children stay active over the long summer holidays and give them regular opportunities to socialise with youngsters of similar ages. The council is committed to tackling childhood obesity and encouraging cohesive communities and this activity programme contributes to both of these objectives.”
