Diss girl donates hair in memory of her grandfather and to help those suffering with hair loss
An eight-year-old girl is honouring the memory of her grand-dad by donating her hair and raising funds for the Little Princess Trust.
After watching her grand-dad lose his hair while battling cancer three years ago, Jessica Pearson, who lives with mum Fiona, 36, and dad Steve, 44, in Skelton Road in Diss, decided that she wanted to help others who were losing their hair.
After growing it long, she decided to have 30cm of her hair cut off and donated to the trust, which makes real hair wigs for cancer sufferers.
She has also set up a fundraising page in the hope of raising £400, which can be found by searching ‘Jessica Pearson’ on the Just Giving website.
Mrs Pearson, said: “She is a very caring child and has made us a very proud mum an dad as this is so close to home for us.
“This is her first ever fundraiser – set up with a little help from me, and the page is open until the end of May.”
