Diss Pizza Time bringing fresh approach and updated menu with new owners in place

The new owner of a takeaway in Diss has committed to overhauling the menu in a bid to give the business a fresh start.

Adam Miaad, who hails from London, has been running restaurants for the past 10 years, and recently sold a Pizza Time outlet in Lowestoft before taking on the current one in Mere Street.

Having marked his first week by giving away free chicken, Mr Miaad is in the process of sourcing local suppliers of fresh produce so that the menu can be updated.

“After taking over, I posted on Facebook and asked everyone to get in touch to tell me what they wanted to see on the menu and, fortunately, lots of the things they asked for were already things I had planned,” he told the Diss Express.

“I researched Pizza Time, tried the food and saw how many people were coming in before I took over.

“Since we announced the new ownership, we have seen a big increase in customers.

“I’m a foodie and I wouldn’t sell something I wasn’t happy to eat myself. I’m someone who cares about food and, while it will take a bit of time to get everything set up here, the difference will be clear.

“I also have the team from my previous pizza place joining me from next week, and they will help make this just as successful.”

Alongside a new menu, which will include more hand-made stock, the takeaway’s interior will be given a fresh lick of paint.

“We want to make it look more modern as it currently has a bit of a 1950s feel to it,” added the 29-year-old.

“With the new decor, new team members and a fresh menu built around the food people want to see, I’m committed to making Pizza Time the best it can be.

“Food quality is everything to me and that will be the key to our success. We’ll be bringing locally sourced stock, hand-made food and a great new menu – and customers will really see the difference.”
