Pulham Primay School win free bench in garden centre competition

A Pulham Market school has received a commemorative bench after winning a garden centre competition.

Pulham Primary School won the bench in a competition run by Cherry Lane garden centres, which is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year.

Pulham Market Garden Centre joined the Cherry Lane group in January 2002, after serving the local area as an independent garden centre since 1986.

In the competition, customers were asked to nominate a worthy cause in their community to receive a hardwood bench, with the school coming out on top.

Headteacher Harriet Beckett said: “We were thrilled to find out from Cherry Lane that we had won. It’s a beautiful bench and it has been located in the playground to be used as a friendship bench by those who may need someone new to play with.”

Cherry Lane has 17 garden centres across East Anglia.
