The Diss Museum will be officially re-opened for its latest season of displays next weekend.

The opening, which takes place at 11am on Saturday, March 14, is being carried out by South Norfolk MP Richard Bacon.

Among the new exhibits in the museum this season are displays on the lost sweet shops of Diss, Ice Carnivals on the Mere, Diss Hospital and the Redgrave Estate.

There will also be a cabinet with submissions from the community, a case of new information about the town during the second year of the First World War, a headgear collection and an exhibit on the history of Heritage Triangle traders.

The museum will be open on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, and all day Friday and Saturday, and from May, on Sunday afternoons as well.
