Diss crews battle Eye shed fire for more than three hours

A pair of fire crews from Diss tackled a shed fire for more than three hours in Eye in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident happened in Oak Crescent at 2.43am.

A crew from Diss was requested to attend and, after the fire service received “multiple calls”, a further appliance from the south Norfolk town attended.

The fire was under control by 6.02am after crews used hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera.

One fire crew from Eye remained in attendance as a relief crew into the morning.
