Diss auctioneer TW Gaze fuses its sales
A Diss auction room has launched a new way to bid by bringing a trio of sales to the site on the same day.
TW Gaze’s Friday Fusion will see its furniture sale, antiques and interiors auction and Deadstock Meadow sale - which includes nursery plants - come together at the Roydon Road rooms today.
Elizabeth Talbot, auction rooms director, said “We have taken the opportunity to combine the best of elements of our Friday mix and create more of a lifestyle auction – a fusion of old and new – to compliment the shifting tastes of the modern consumer. This is where collector meets interior designer, dealer meets home-maker.”
The auctioneers has been steadily building back its sales calendar since lockdown eased and whilst auctions held in May and June were primarily online, the firm has been gradually re-introducing onsite sales and public viewing days.
During lockdown, the business which was established in 1857, had to close for the first time in its history after continuing through both world wars, the Great Depression and various global financial crises.
