The Oaksmere in Brome hosts first ever Day of the Dead event

Hundreds of children and adults had the chance to do the monster mash at the weekend as a Brome hotel hosted its first Day of the Dead event for Hallowe’en.

The Oaksmere, in Rectory Road, hosted a children’s disco with face painting, sombrero making, a pumpkin candle parade, giant bubble performers, carved pumpkin awards, UV face painting and games, such as apple bobbing.

One of the organisers Geoff Dixon teamed up with The Oaksmere last month to organise events at the venue and hopes the Day of the Dead event could return next year.
