Coronavirus daily: Suffolk daily positive cases go up by nearly double of Norfolk's
With the announcement from Health Secretary Matt Hancock yesterday that key workers and their families can now book a coronavirus test if any of them have symptoms, Suffolk has seen a rise in recorded positive cases of 99.
Figures from Public Health England showed Norfolk, had a rise of 51 cases to 1,169, but Suffolk had gone from 715 in the previous 24-hour period to 814.
The number of COVID-19 associated deaths in hospitals recorded in the previous 24-hour period has dropped again to 616 from 759 the previous day and 823 the day before that.
That takes the total number of deaths to 18,738.
The amount of reported positive cases in the UK for the 24-hour period though did go up slightly from 4,451 to 4,583.
That takes the total number of laboratory confirmed cases of coronavirus so far to 138,078.
