Coronavirus daily: Norfolk positive cases so far pass 1,100

Norfolk and Suffolk both saw milestones passed in their total positive coronavirus cases so far as Public Health England figures yesterday saw deaths in UK hospitals reach more than 18,000.

The number of COVID-19 associated deaths in hospitals recorded in the previous 24-hour period was 759, down from 823 the previous day.

That takes the total number of deaths to 18,100.

The amount of reported positive cases in the UK for the 24-hour period stands at 4,451.

That takes the total number of laboratory confirmed cases of coronavirus so far to 133,495.

In Norfolk, its total of reported positive cases have risen to 1,118, with Suffolk now at 715.
