Chance to grill south Norfolk and north Suffolk general election hopefuls in BBC Question Time-style debate
There will be a chance to quiz South Norfolk MP Richard Bacon and prospective parliamentary candidates (PPC) at a hustings event in Wingfield next month.
The free-to-attend live debate on April 21 will focus on what the candidates will do for the countryside and the rural economy, and give local farmers, landowners and residents an opportunity to quiz the parliamentary candidates on the issues that mean most to them.
Mr Bacon will appear alongside Jack Abbott, Labour PPC for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, which covers north Suffolk, and Mark Cole, UKIP PPC for the same constituency. Liberal Democrat and Green Party representatives are also expected to join the line-up.
The event is organised by the Country Land Association East interest group.
The format will be similar to the BBC’s Question Time, but with the addition of introductory speeches and questions are being taken in advance.
