Children at Brockdish Church of England Primary School played their role in the recent elections buzz when they joined staff, governors and visitors in voting for the bird to serve as the symbol for Britain.
Mandy Reeve, headteacher, said: “The younger children recorded the results for our school. They were keen to make sure that it was done correctly before the result was sent to the central office in Marlborough.”
The robin was ultimately found to have the most votes.
