There is one vehicle that Diss car dealership Thurlow Nunn just cannot sell — however, it is not for the reasons you might think!

Employees at the Victoria Road-based dealers said they were very surprised when, four weeks ago, they discovered a bird’s nest had been built on top of one of the tyres on a brand new Vauxhall Viva, and have spotted a blackbird flying to and from the car ever since.

Staff member Abbey said: “It’s a car that’s actually registered and should be up for sale.

“It’s a case of it’s under the wheel arch and we literally can’t move the car.”

Most nests are protected until their nestlings have fledged, under the 1981 Wildlife and Countryside Act, meaning the £8,000 Vauxhall will remain stranded at the back of the dealership’s showroom.

But it hasn’t stopped the sales team from being amused by the whole situation!
