Police are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage following the death of a teenager on the A140.

Emergency services were called to the A140 at Tasburgh at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, following the crash which happened just before the Hempnall crossing.

The incident happened near the junction with Quaker Lane, when a grey Fiat 500 travelling towards Diss left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old girl, who is believed be from the Diss area, died at the scene.

Police officers have appealed for any witnesses to come forward, and are seeking any dashcam evidence from around the time.

A police spokesman said: “Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have information concerning the driving manner of the Fiat prior to the incident.”

Police would like to talk to the drivers of a dark BMW 1 Series, a five-door Ford Fiesta, a blue Peugeot 307 and a white Ford Transit van that were seen in the area at the time.
