A further four jobs have been created in Diss after a national chain opened a store in the town’s high street last month.

The Grape Tree was launched two years ago and is on course to launch its 75th store by the end of the year, and specialises in dried fruits like apricots, a wide range of nuts and

seeds, home baking products as well as old fashioned sweets and confectionery.

Founder Nick Shutts, who previously launched the Julian Graves brand, said: “It is exhilarating being back in business.

“Given our experience in the past and the reaction we are getting to the new stores we are convinced that we are meeting a real gap in the market.”
