A140 Long Stratton full weekend and overnight closure announced

Weekend and overnight closures have been announced for the A140 Long Stratton bypass work.

To enable tie in works for the northern roundabout connection to the new Long Stratton Bypass an overnight and full weekend closure of the A140 Norwich Road will be required to the north of the town between St Michael’s Road and Brands Lane.

The A140 will be completely closed to traffic overnight at this location from 8pm on Thursday 3 July 3 until 6am on Friday 4 July 4

There will also be a full weekend closure from 8pm on Friday July 4 until 6am on Monday July 7.

The official signed diversion route will be via Loddon and Bungay on the A47/A146/A143 and vice versa.

Aspects of the required work are weather dependent or could be adversely affected by other events out of our control. Updates will be provided should any significant changes to the plan occur.

The work will be carried out by Octavius Infrastructure who are delivering the bypass on behalf of Norfolk County Council.

The council thanks the public for their patience whilst these essential works are completed.
