Improvement work on Scole roundabout will last one week
Work started this week to carry out essential maintenance and improvement work at Scole Roundabout.
New chevron signs will be installed to replace the existing damaged signs on the Northern and Eastern side of roundabout, new advance warning signs will be installed for southbound traffic.
Norfolk Councty Council highways said: "To safely carry out these works, it will be necessary to close one lane on all approaches, and the inside lane of the roundabout.
"While the lane closures are in place for the signage work, further routine maintenance work will be carried out to replace damaged kerbs and gully grates, and also carry out some minor carriageway patching works.
"It is anticipated that the work will take approximately one week to complete, subject to suitable weather conditions.
"Pedestrian access will be maintained during works."
The County Council has thanked people for their patience while the work is carried out.
The work which will cost £30,000 and is being carried out by Norfolk County Council’s community and environmental services department and their contractors.
