Treasure Island hits stage in Harleston
Harleston Players are back in action starting next Friday with a theatrical performance of Robert Louis Stephenson’s classic story Treasure Island.
It tells the story of young Jim Hawkins, who is given a map of a tropical island by a dying pirate, and who sets sail on the Hispaniola to find treasure.
He becomes best friends with the ship’s cook, Long John Silver, but Silver has a shocking secret in store, and when they reach their destination, Jim faces danger and adventure greater than he could ever have imagined.
The evening performances take place on Friday, January 29, Saturday, January 30, Friday, February 5, and Saturday, January 6 at 7.30pm.
There are also afternoon matinees on 2.30pm on both of the Saturdays.
