The ‘ultimate tribute show’ to ‘everyone’s favourite dance movie’ has been recast, and re-scripted, and is coming to Ipswich Regent next Friday.
This all-new spectacular stage show, A Night of Dirty Dancing, has been billed as “the sexiest song and dance sensation of 2015, and is embarking on a nationwide tour.
The score includes She’s Luke the Wind, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Hey Baby, Wipeout, Do You Love Me, Be My Baby, Hungry Eyes, and the Oscar-winning (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.
Show producer Michael Taylor said: “Celebrated film Dirty Dancing boasted the greatest movie sound track of all time.
“All these hits are superbly performed in this fast-moving, slickly-choreographed theatrical treat.
“Revel in the moments you loved, the memories you made, and the music that’s resonated throughout the years.”
The original film, released in 1987 and starring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze, was the first movie to sell 1 million copies on home video, produced a number one single, and achieved album sales of 42 million worldwide.
