A little bit of Welsh rarebit is on the menu at the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds next week as BBC Springwatch and Autumnwatch star Iolo Williams presents an evening of eye-catching wildlife from his home nation.

The Welsh bird life expert will take the audience on a wildlife tour of Wales, from mountain tops to the seashore.

Interesting companions along the way include the disco-dancing black grouse, while arachnophobes might want to cover their eyes in advance of the bit of about Britain’s largest spider.

To top it all off there’s the curious sex-changing fish.

Iolo is perhaps Wales’ best known wildlife observer and his witty, enthusiastic and friendly style is sure to please budding naturalists of all ages.

At the end of the evening there will be a collection for Suffolk Wildlife Trust. The show is on April 1, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8.50 to £16.50 from the box office on 01284 769505.
