Still time for Midsummer Night’s Dream

There is still time to catch the tail end of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s national tour of A Midsummer Night’s Dream: A Play For The Nation at Norwich Theatre Royal tonight and tomorrow. Marking 400 years since Shakespeare’s death in April 1616, the production features an all-star cast drawing upon 18 professionals and 84 amateur actors from 14 different theatre companies. Production director Erica Whyman said: “There will be magic, music and dancing, but also a cracking story with suspense and excitement.

“We are setting the play in a world that looks like Britain in the 1940s, a time of change and optimism after the war, so there will be some fabulous frocks!”

The performances will be tonight at 7.30pm and tomorrow at 1.30pm and 7.30pm.

Tickets range between £8 and £25, with discounts available for Friends of the Theatre, over 60s, under 18s, schools and groups.
