Shakespeare comedy tour commences

RoughCast - As You Like It
RoughCast - As You Like It

The RoughCast dramatics society is presenting one of William Shakespeare’s most loved comedic plays to numerous venues across Norfolk and Suffolk later this month.

As You Like It, which tells the story of heroine Rosalind, who takes advantage of a male disguise to take a leading role, is a narrative which has become known for more comic turns than most of Shakespeare’s other comedies put together, with memorable speeches and good-hearted yokels.

It will be the 12th Shakespearean tour undertaken by RoughCast since its original tour of MacBeth back in 1999.

They are performing at Chameleon House Gardens in Harleston, on Saturday, July 18, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, followed by a show at The Oaksmere in Brome, on Sunday, July 19, at 4pm. The week after, they are at Banham Zoo on Thursday, July 23 at 7.30pm, then St Clement’s Common, Rushall, on Saturday, July 25, at 6.30pm.
