New version of Shakespeare classic at Bury Theatre Royal

A unique adaptation of William Shakespeare’s comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream is headed to the stage at Bury St Edmunds Theatre Royal later this month.

The story follows four young lovers who try to escape marriage matches by fleeing the city and heading for the woods, where they slip into a dream world where anything is possible.

This version of is set in 1950s Ohio in the age of the teenager, inspired by the classic American B Movie.

It runs from April 13-16, 7.30pm daily. Tickets £8.50-£20.50 via 01284 769505.
