HARTISMERE High School was the filming venue for a north Suffolk band’s debut music video, which clocked up more than 3,000 hits in its first four days on a video-sharing website.
Redgrave rockers Walkway put Overrated on YouTube towards the end of last week, and as well as receiving so many viewers of the video for the song, the band also generated a large number of positive comments, with some rock fans comparing them to fellow Brit band Thunder.
Walkway, which comprises brothers Chris and James Ready, plus bassist Alex Rosedale and drummer Andy Burlace, recruited their friends to star in the video, which was filmed and directed by Peter Eveson - a former Top of the Pops and Dr Who cameraman who also recently worked on the latest Frank Skinner programme.
It took nearly all day to film the video for Overrated, which features on the four-track EP released by the band last September.
Meanwhile, shows are coming thick and fast for Walkway, who are playing at the Intrepid Fox in London tonight, with Norwich Waterfront their next stop tomorrow night supporting a Kiss tribute act.
Then, next Friday, the band are off to the Midlands to support a Foo Fighters tribute act at the Victoria Bikers Pub in Leicester.
In April, the band will play during two of the days at the Legends of Rock Festival, which is held in Great Yarmouth.
