Market mania

Harleston aims to trump last year’s staggering 6,000 visitor count this Sunday when it stages a massive antiques and vintage street market for the second year running.

Event organiser Harleston’s Future has billed it as “a great day to wander, browse, buy or barter, greet strangers and meet friends”, with more than 80 stalls booked to sell antiques, furniture, vintage clothes, medals, plus other priceless memorabilia, curios and all manner of collectibles.

Plenty of musical entertainment will be provided all the while, by young musicians from the South Norfolk Youth Symphonic Group and students from Archbishop Sancroft High School, in addition to a delightful walkabout show from Doris and David, the eccentric ‘Dancing Day Trippers’ from the Honk Project.

The event is from 9.30am until 4pm throughout Market Place, Exchange Street, Church Street, and The Thoroughfare, call 01379 855235 or visit harleston-norfolk.org.uk
