A play portraying the joys and struggles of 1940s small town America will touch down at Hoxne Village Hall on Saturday, January 9.
Performed as part of the Diss Corn Hall’s ongoing On Tour programme, It’s a Wonderful Life is a warm-hearted play that follows the story of George Bailey, a middle aged clerk who discovers the difference he has made to his family, his friends and his home town – with help from Clarence, the apprentice angel.
It is the latest production from Farnham Maltings, who are aiming to create a show for the whole community in their own style, following the success of Miracle on 34th Street.
Gavin Stride, the director, said: “Not only is it one of my favourite stories but it feels really important, more than ever, to be celebrating the effect, big or small, we make within our communities and homes.”
The show will begin at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £12 and are available on 01379 652241 or www.disscornhall.co.uk
