Hoagy Carmichael brought to life in Bury

The unique music of one of America’s most enduring and endearing songwriters will be brought to life courtesy of an acclaimed quartet of muscians at the Bury Theatre Royal on Thursday, January 21.

The Chris Ingham Quartet, which is led by renowned jazz pianist and record producer Chris Ingham, will perform their tribute show ‘Celebrating Hoagy’, which is packed with the songs and stories of the so-called Old Music Master.

He will be joined by trumpet player Paul Higgs, previously a TV and film composer, double bassist the Rev Andrew J. Brown, who is also minsiter of the Cambridge Memorial Church, and prolific drummer George Double, a regular touring member with the legendary Jack Jones.

Their concert will begin in Bury St Edmunds at 8pm.
