A four-man dramatics group known throughout the UK for their unique bicycle-powered Shakespearean productions arrives at Diss High School on Thursday evening.
The HandleBards will perform their version of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which will see the four-strong troupe cycle 1,500 miles to play 44 characters between them.
They also claim to be the first carbon-positive touring theatre company, as they plan to stage the show entirely off-grid, using dynamos to store cycle-powered energy.
Legendary theatre actor Sir Ian McKellen has described the troupe as “outrageous” and “uproariously funny”.
The show is on Thursday, November 26, starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available at the price of £12, or £10 for concessions.
