A three-piece folk group said to be unlike any other in its genre will be unleashed at Garboldisham Village Hall this weekend, as part of the Diss Corn Hall’s ongoing On Tour programme of events.
Churchfitters are recognised for their stage shows which bristle with a huge range of different instruments, such as flute, banjo, dulcimer, tin whistle, guitar, ukulele, stand up dustbin bass and a sackful of percussion to boot.
The three virtuoso musicians from England and France strut their stuff with traditional tunes and a slew of startlingly original songs, with elements like vocals accompanied by a musical saw, and high-tempo fiddle mixed with funk-rock bouzouki.
Reviewer Mike Harding has described the trio as ‘totally brilliant and beautiful’.
Churchfitters will be playing on Sunday, starting from 8pm.
Tickets are £10, or £9 for concessions. For further information, please call 01379 652241 or see www.disscornhall.co.uk
